CDP 2023 Annual Scores Released
Prior to the Spring Festival, the CDP Global Environmental Information Research Center released the 2023 annual scores. More than 21,000 companies worldwide participated in information reporting and disclosure, setting a new record for the number of companies involved in the scoring, an increase of nearly 5,000 from 2022, representing at least two-thirds of the global capital market. However, only less than 2% of companies made it to the leadership A-list, with just 10 out of over 2,300 companies that disclosed all three questionnaires receiving three A ratings.
Carbonstop has provided consulting support to CDP supply chain companies for 10 consecutive years, accumulating extensive practical experience. In 2023, Carbonstop helped CDP clients achieve outstanding results again, with both the Climate Change and Water Security questionnaires ranking among the top three nationwide. All three categories—Climate, Water, and Forests—achieved ratings above B, including industries such as chemicals, plastic products, packaging, apparel, and biopharmaceuticals, with more than eight questionnaires receiving A- ratings, setting a new historical record. An A- rating, second only to an A rating, indicates that a company’s environmental management level is already at the leadership level.
In 2024, there will be many changes to the CDP process, including the introduction of a comprehensive survey questionnaire combining three environmental themes (climate, forests, and water). Companies will also need to respond to relevant questions and environmental themes based on their business activities and investor requirements, and the submission time will be adjusted. Facing these new challenges, Carbonstop will continue to provide the most professional one-on-one expert services, supporting the entire CDP reporting process for companies!
