Since 2022, Carbonstop has provided clients with two types of carbon labeling and certification services—Product Carbon Footprint and Product Carbon Reduction—leveraging its professional expertise and industry credibility to provide trusted validation of corporate low-carbon practices.

Carbonstop Product Carbon Labeling and Certification

Product Carbon Footprint Label

Indicates that the product has undergone a full life-cycle carbon footprint assessment, achieved emissions reductions, and made a climate contribution through high-quality carbon credits.

Download Protocol

Calculation

Provide a product carbon footprint assessment report compliant with the GHG Protocol or ISO 14067 and covering the product’s entire life cycle.

Reduction

Develop and implement a product-level carbon reduction plan and achieve measurable emissions reductions.

Climate Contribution

Purchase high-quality carbon credits to make a climate contribution corresponding to the product’s residual emissions.

Certification

Submit the required materials through the Ccloud product carbon label certification module. The Carbonstop Research Institute Certification Team will conduct the review and make the certification decision in accordance with the Carbonstop Product Carbon Footprint Certification Protocol.

Communication

Upon successful certification, the product carbon footprint label and certification certificate will be issued.

Product Carbon Reduction Label

Indicates that the product has achieved measurable emissions reductions compared with its previous version or an industry benchmark scenario.

Independent Certification Team

Carbonstop Research Institute conducts product carbon certification independently, ensuring a clear separation between report preparation and verification.

No Self-Verification

Where Carbonstop is involved in report preparation, the report must undergo independent third-party verification or assurance and be validated by the certification team before certification is granted.

Independent Certification Decisions

Anyone involved in report preparation, consulting or first-line verification for a project is excluded from its certification decision. Sales, consulting and other non-certification personnel may not influence or alter certification outcomes.

Prevention of Commercial Conflicts of Interest

Carbonstop does not certify products that it manufactures, produces or directly sells. Certification personnel may not hold or accept any interest or benefit that could compromise their impartial judgement.
