154Recently, Carbonstop has successfully secured the Beijing Municipal Ecological Environment Bureau's key project, "Research on the Construction and Application of Beijing's Carbon Footprint Management System," and participated in the project launch meeting as a core implementing unit. Leveraging its strengths, Carbonstop will deeply engage throughout the process in methodology innovation and practical application research, providing key technical support for the implementation of Beijing's dual carbon strategy.
The project focuses on carbon footprint quantification and accounting methods for key product and service industries, systematically building an accounting model, standardized procedures, and a city-specific carbon footprint database covering the entire industrial chain. It will integrate carbon footprint accounting, big data analysis, and visualization technologies to construct an intelligent carbon footprint management technical system and management service platform for the city.
Leaders from the Beijing Municipal Ecological Environment Bureau, core members of the project team, and experts from institutions such as the National Center for Climate Change Strategy and International Cooperation and the Policy Research Center for Environment and Economy under the Ministry of Ecology and Environment attended the meeting, engaging in in-depth discussions on the project's implementation roadmap.
As the project implementing unit, Carbonstop, leveraging over a decade of practical experience and technological advantages in product carbon footprint, will, under the commission and guidance of the Beijing Municipal Ecological Environment Bureau, work with partners based on Beijing's industrial characteristics to contribute to the development of product carbon footprint standards, databases, platforms, and practical applications. This will efficiently empower precise carbon data governance, support government decisions for transitioning from "dual control" policies, assist enterprises in low-carbon transformation, and promote the effective implementation of the "dual carbon" goals.
In the future, Carbonstop will collaborate with多方 forces from government, industry, academia, and research to provide innovative demonstrations for the construction of a national product carbon footprint management system, continuously driving China's green and low-carbon development process through digital technologies.
