On October 25, 2022, the CPiS 2022 Packaging Power Forum was successfully held. At the Environmental Power sub-forum, the sharing and discussions on environmental protection and sustainability-related topics by various speakers resonated with the attendees. The presentation by Yan Luhui, founder of Carbonstop, titled Carbon Neutrality Era: Innovation and Path Exploration for Carbon Reduction in Packaging, received significant attention from many participants.
As the era of carbon neutrality approaches, the packaging industry faces numerous opportunities and challenges. Without quantification, there is no management. Solving the pain points in calculating carbon emissions in the packaging industry essentially involves addressing issues such as the implementation of carbon footprint standards, carbon data collection, and carbon calculations. For many companies in the packaging industry, the collection and calculation of carbon data are still in their infancy, leaving them unsure how to proceed. There is also a severe shortage of professionals in this area, which greatly hinders the progress of corporate carbon reduction efforts and is detrimental to enhancing the competitiveness of enterprises in the industry.
To respond to the industry's concerns about carbon management and carbon reduction and to strengthen the team of professional talents in carbon emissions in the packaging sector, the China Packaging Federation specially organized the "China Packaging Dual Carbon Talent Training" event. Carbonstop and the China Packaging Federation Packaging User Committee were invited to participate, providing talent support and professional backing for the low-carbon transformation and development of the packaging industry.
This training activity consists of three sessions, combining online and offline methods, totaling 6 academic hours. We invited numerous industry experts, including Yu Jie, Director of the China Quality Certification Center, Yang Xiu, Assistant Dean and Research Department Head of the Institute of Climate Change and Sustainable Development at Tsinghua University, Li Bin, Senior Researcher and Doctoral Supervisor at the Advanced Low-Dimensional Materials Center of Donghua University, Xiao Qian, Co-founder of Carbon Trace Bio, and Ouyang Cheng, Consulting Director of Carbonstop, to provide detailed explanations on topics such as green consumption leadership under the "1+N" policy framework, international background and Chinese actions for carbon neutrality, sustainable development solutions for the packaging industry, and the sustainable development path of packaging materials, which are of concern to everyone.
From the following schedule, you can see the detailed time arrangements and training themes.

The goal of this training activity is to help relevant personnel understand the dual carbon policies, standards, and methodologies of the packaging industry, learn about the execution strategies and successful cases of downstream and midstream players in the industrial chain regarding dual carbon policies. This can prepare companies for formulating future plans and ensure a talent reserve, thereby enhancing the industry competitiveness of enterprises in the upcoming era of environmental protection.
